A place where learning can be re - imagined.
The Creative School works to passionately provide the type of education every child deserves by creating a student-centered, nurturing environment that is designed to spark curiosity and a lifelong love for the process of learning.
We offer Infant-5th Grade educational programs in separate facilities for our infant/toddler-preschool, and k-5 schools. The Creative School is 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
The Creative Difference
At The Creative School, we embrace the 'and'. We feel a school can best meet individual student needs 'and' structure content around the learning standards established by the Kentucky Department of Education. As a Reggio Emilia-inspired non-profit private school, we elevate the role relationships play in education. We respect and value the many different ways that your child demonstrates knowledge. By providing a rich environment of natural and open-ended materials, we encourage creativity and follow your child's interests. Through intentional observation, active listening, and emergent curriculum, our Programs focus on educating the whole child. Our project-based approach promotes a strong foundation through developing various expressive languages: cognitive, communicative, symbolic, expressive, ethical, logical, imaginative, and relational.
The view of the child as strong, capable, and full of potential begins in infancy. Our infant program supports holistic growth and development from 0-36 months.
Through providing a sensory-rich environment, students 3-5 years old are encouraged to explore, investigate and engage in the process of inquiry. Big ideas are born when adults become co-learners within the classroom.

Our Kindergarten through 5th Grade students is supported by certified teachers in achieving the Kentucky Academic Standards through a Project-Based, outdoor learning model. We achieve the same goals but take a path less traveled - this is the creative difference!
